The Tiered Montessori Bookshelf is thoughtfully designed to display book covers outward, making it easy for children of all ages to independently choose what they want to read. By putting covers front and center, this bookshelf supports early independence and helps foster a lasting love of books and literacy.
The forward facing design makes books accessible even for infants and toddlers, allowing them to see, reach, and select their own books safely. Younger children naturally gravitate toward the lower tiers, while older children continue to use the full height of the shelf as their reading interests and habits grow.
Handcrafted in our wood shop from premium Baltic birch wood, the bookshelf features four gently tiered shelves. Each shelf includes a low front lip that keeps books securely in place while still allowing clear visibility of covers. The proportions are carefully considered to support independence while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.
Book capacity varies depending on size and arrangement. When single stacking large picture books, the shelf holds approximately 12 books. When filled with smaller books and layered more densely, it can hold roughly 40 to 50 books.
The Tiered Montessori Bookshelf fits naturally into bedrooms, playrooms, or learning spaces and continues to serve children well as they grow. It pairs well with the Tiered Toy Shelf to create a cohesive, child centered storage and reading area.

How much is shipping?
We offer FREE economy shipping for all of our bundles when shipped in the United States. Economy shipping is also FREE domestically for any orders over $50. Standard or expedited shipping is available for an additional fee on all domestic orders.

Why is my order being shipped in different packages?
We store inventory at different locations. Some of our items come directly from the manufacturers. These products will have it listed in their product descriptions.
What shipping carriers do you use?
We offer shipping through USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
When will I receive my order?
Orders shipped via economy shipping take about 5-8 business days to arrive if within the domestic US. Standard shipping can take 3-5 days business days to arrive if within the domestic US. Overseas deliveries can take anywhere from 7-16 days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email. Please allow 5-7 business days on average for your order to be packed.
Why is my item arriving in a reused box?
We are committed to using reusable, recyclable, or biodegradable packaging materials and supplies when shipped directly from us. In an effort to reduce landfill waste and be as eco-friendly as possible, your items may arrive in a clean and sturdy reused box.
If your order is coming from one of our partner manufacturers, they will ship using their own shipping materials.
What happens if my order gets stuck or lost in the mail?
All of our orders are sent with insured shipping and handling. If an order gets stuck at customs, sent back or even lost during the delivery process, we apologize! The postal service is out of our control. However, in cases like this, because the packages are insured, we will send you a new package with quicker shipping and full tracking, if possible. Please see our refund and return policy for when these might be applicable to shipping situations.
Will I be charged for customs and taxes if receiving order outside the US?
You may be liable to pay for duties and taxes once you receive your order. Import taxes, duties and related customs fees may be charged once your order arrives at its final destination, which is determined by your local customs office. Payment of these charges and taxes are your responsibility and will not be covered by us. We are not responsible for delays caused by the customs department in your country.
